Memories of The Black Tie Affair 2019...

The members of Epsilon Pi Omega Graduate Chapter warmly welcome you and thank you for taking time to visit our website.

Since our inception on May 13, 1950 Epsilon Pi Omega has  dedicated herself to the mission of our organization by actively engaging  and providing meaningful service to the Southeast Queens Community. We faithfully reach out and collaborate with the community to identify the needs and plan programs which address those needs while aligning with our National Program Initiatives.

Our membership in this chapter boasts over 200 college educated professional women continuing the legacy of service to all mankind. We are a sisterhood established on January 15, 1908 on Howard University Campus in Washington, DC. We are proud members of the oldest Greek letter organization established by African American Women.

Epsilon Pi Omega Chapter celebrated sixty-nine years of service on May 13, 2019.  We can proudly reflect on a long history of community service through our scholarships for high school seniors and programs in health, economic security, global poverty, and social justice and human rights.

The 2018-2022 program theme as outlined by our International President, Dr. Glenda Glover, is Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service. The International Program includes five program targets that are designed to advance the mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha with excellence and underscore our commitment to sustainable service.

The five program targets are: (1) HBCU for Life: A Call to Action, (2) Women’s Healthcare and Wellness, (3) Building Your Economic Legacy, (4) The Arts and (5) Global Impact in our local and global communities.

The Signature Program under the current administration is #CAPSM  which is the abbreviation for College Admissions Process. It is designed to assist students in their efforts to enter college by providing a hands-on approach that includes all the steps from researching various colleges to actually completing the application process.

We encourage you to peruse our website often for more information and updates regarding our community-based programs, activities and events that serve the needs of the Southeast Queens Community.

Join us at events open to the public, we would love to have you help us continue to "make a difference" in our community as we provide Service to All Mankind.

Again, thank you for visiting Epsilon Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

With warmest regards,

DeRosette Harrison
