Marking the 69th Anniversary of the signing of the United Nations Charter, this year's UN Day will celebrate Global Citizenship & Youth. Alpha Kappa Alpha is encouraging its chapters to engage our youth in topics that the UN addresses such as peacekeeping operations, promotion of women's rights and protection of the environment, as well as protection from deadly diseases such as Ebola. -Become a member of UNA-USA by visiting -Connect with @akasorority1908 and @UN to support "Girls Count" legislation and don't forget to use #AKA1908 and #AKA-UNDAY2014 on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter! -Participate in Film Screenings, to educate and promote dialogue.
