Unemployment Insurance

To file an unemployment insurance claim, you can visit the Department of Labor website or call 1-888-209-8124.

The day you should apply for unemployment insurance is based on the first letter of your last name.

  • A - F file on Monday
  • G - N file on Tuesday
  • O - Z file on Wednesday
  • Missed your day? File on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday

Many folks are experiencing difficulties filing with the Department of Labor to complete unemployment insurance claims. Please keep in mind that your claim will be backdated to your last day of employment and that you will receive your full benefit amount. Call my office for additional assistance.

The DOL has expanded its staff and streamlined the application process. They are now reaching out to applicants within 72 hours of filing instead of having applicants call to complete their claims.
