    In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Eastern Queens Alliance, Inc, is offering its after-school Science-in-the-Park Environmental Science Education program to young people between the ages 8 and 12. This is EQA's Commitment to bring high quality STEAM lessons to young people in our communities FREE and ONLINE!

    WLIW21, our Long Island station, from 9am – 3pm to aid the needs of young students currently at home with "WLIW21 At Home Learning."
    We also adjusted programming on our WLIW World station with "World At Home Learning" for students in grades 6-12.
    Both of the station offerings have accompanying resources for educators and families available on wnet.org/education, including related learning assets from PBS LearningMedia, a free online service of thousands of educational resources. For details, see our press release on these changes.

    The NYC COVID Care Network is a self-organizing mutual aid network of more than 2500 mental health workers, spiritual care providers, and community builders supporting essential workers and their families during this evolving crisis. We facilitate free individual support encounters, support groups, stress-reduction training, and grief rituals via Zoom or telephone.     The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York's Food Pantry is still open to serve families in need. The hours of operation are: Mondays, 5:00pm - 7:00pm and Thursdays, 10:00am - 2:00pm.     Small Business Assistance- The application for the Federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is now open for businesses and non-profits under 500 people. These are forgivable loans for: payroll up to $100,000 per employee, interest on mortgages, rent and utility payments. The City is still providing the Small Business Continuity Fund loans with up to $75,000 to businesses with up to 99 employees. It’s first come, first serve, so act now.     Are you HUNGRY and can't afford to purchase groceries? NYC will feed you! Just Text FOOD to 726879. The city has plenty of food available for you, you just have to RSVP to pick it up at your local pantry. It takes 2 minutes to sign up via chatbot and you can go pick up a bag of groceries at a pantry within walking distance of your house, no questions asked. The app is in 9 languages and includes 170 pantries across all 5 boroughs. There is no reason anyone should go without food in NYC!!! Thank you City Harvest for providing this service!
